This job involved the removal and replacement of a rear entry door along with a good deal of delicate frame repair work. The customer was looking for a more secure door which included not destroying his existing stucco job that was just perfomed. First we removed the existing windowed wood door -- which was badly dryrotted and termite infested. Next, we performed a major reconstruction on one of the framing members which had also been badly damaged by termites. Finally, we replaced what had been a standard wooden entry door with a pre-hung Stanley steel security door. This door would prove to be much more secure with a easy functioning dual pane insulated window and magnetic weatherstripping which also made it highly weatherproof. This job was accomplished without destroying the existing stucco. It reqired minimal patching and touch up paint.
